Hadrosteus rapax by avancna Hadrosteus rapax by avancna
Reconstruction of the arthrodire placoderm, Hadrosteus rapax, of the Late Frasnian Kellwasserkalk facies of Late Devonian Germany. The prong-like denticles of its upper jaws wore groves into the inferognathals of its lower jaws, strongly suggesting that this salmon or tuna-sized fish was a fierce predator.
