A quick & helpful guideline for photographers to help them choose models and how to find them.
Artist's Comments
Steller's Sea Cow was a school bus-sized relative of the dugong. From what was recorded of them, they were inoffensive, intensely social, and capable of pulling out harpoons stuck in their pod-mates. Most other predators avoided them because of their size, which was a good thing because they suffered from a fatal curse: they were slow-moving and humans regarded them as being ver tasty. Whalers slew every last one.
