Reconstruction of a trio of the coccosteid arthrodire placoderm, Protitanichthys fossatus, from the Eifelian-aged Delaware Limestone of Middle Devonian Ohio, feeding on the corpse of a bothriolepid antiarch.
P. fossatus apparently differs very little from the slightly later species, P. rockportensis, from Early Givetian Michigan, save by being older, and slightly smaller.
